Lisa ‘Sunya’ Joynes signs publishing deal with The Unbound Press

We are so excited to announce that Lisa ‘Sunya’ Joynes has signed a deal with The Unbound Press to publish her first book, The Story of Sunya's Magic Hat.

Of her journey so far, Sunya shares:

‘Who Am I?

"Who....Are....You...?" Said the caterpillar to Alice.

Yes! I could well be Alice! I have been following the white rabbit since my husband died in January 2021 - and I woke up spiritually. The sacred clown archetype - The Heyoka - has been flowing through me ever since, and it's magic and miracles abound!

One might say I'm the Mad Hatter, as I am often seen in my magic top hat - which is what my magical little book is about. It has been such an amazing adventure, and Spirit inspired me to write about it to inspire others. I transformed from Lisa to Sunya (including losing over 4 stones in weight without trying - ascension). ‘Sunya’ is short for ‘Sunyata’ (Sanskrit) and it means nothing. I AM EVERYTHING AND NOTHING. I am an empty vessel for spirit to flow through....to work through and heal people: I practice shamanic energy medicine now (I recently realised I am a Heyoka Empath). I am remembering WHO I am... like we all are, and I hope my little book will encourage people - humanity - to believe in the magic that is the unseen world of Spirit (energy) because that is what we - humanity - have forgotten! We are spiritual beings having a physical body experience. We have lost the connection, and Mother Earth is calling us to wake up in The Great Awakening.’

Of The Story of Sunya’s Magic Hat, Sunya tells us:

‘The book is compiled/designed in the style of Big Panda and Tiny Dragon, and The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse. It can be read very quickly, yet it is designed to be very inspirational about life, death and transformation. Indeed, it is one woman's story of transformation - mine! It is a true story... a fun story... a magical story. And, when I read biographies, I want to see pictures, so I have included photos of me and the hat to accompany the story. There is a white rabbit which pops up throughout, drawn by a Japanese pen friend (from nursery school) who I lost touch with in the 1990s, but she used to draw all over her letters and envelopes, and she just so happened to draw the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland - another piece of the jigsaw finally coming together, as you will understand when you read the book. Oh, the web the universe weaves! My whole life seems to be one fairy tale after another now! Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Moomintroll, Pooh, The Wind in the Willows, Snow White... the list goes on and on…’

The Unbound Press is overjoyed to share Sunya’s deeply enchanting story with you all - we can already feel the unique energy of it building and glimmering as it gets ready to be birthed!
