We are absolutely delighted to announce that Jacqui McGinn has signed a deal with The Unbound Press to publish her collaborative book, Pieces to Peace.
Jacqui is an energy worker, hypnotherapist, Japanese tutor and ESOL tutor. Jacqui's main areas of fascination are archetypes (especially the inner child), language and communication. She has an MA in Linguistics which is a subject that looks deeper at all languages and what they all have in common. She’s also a fluent Japanese speaker, having lived in Japan for over 9 years.
"Pieces to Peace" is a name that came to her in 2014 and that she's been working with ever since. It has lots of different meanings but carries 2 main ideas. One is the individual journey of finding lost pieces of who you really are to become your authentic self, and the other is the idea that every person is a vital piece of a bigger peace. Every person's dream and wound healing are important for the peace, success and wellbeing of the whole.
Of the purpose behind the book, Jacqui shares:
‘The Pieces to Peace collaborative book is a collection of inspirational stories about people who've learned to discover more pieces of who they are and go for their dreams. After each story, each writer will share an activity based on their expertise for readers to create more peace in their lives. There'll also be journalling and discussion prompts to communicate deeper inside and connect deeper with others. It's a book that will create meaningful connections for both writers and readers.
Our ideal readers are curious seekers who love reading the true stories beyond the glossy masks we put on, and they love learning from others' lived experience. They're looking to create more peace in their lives and resonate deeply with the idea that we're all a piece of a bigger peace.’
