Episode 156: Celebrating the Unbound Press’ 5th Birthday

In this episode of the Unbound Writer’s Club, we’re celebrating the fifth anniversary of our soul-led publishing community for magical women writing word-changing books! To mark the occasion, we asked our wonderful authors to share the biggest transformation they’ve experienced over the last five years, what they find most powerful about being part of the Unbound Press, and their hopes for the next half a decade.

Below, are three written messages; listen to the podcast for a host of audio contributions. You’re going to be so inspired, activated, and lit up!

Angie Brierheart – Author of Take Off Your Armour & Have a Cup of Tea and Menopause Wisdoms: Women’s Stories of Becoming Crone

I would say my biggest transformation has been becoming Crone, and how that alchemical journey was significantly supported by writing my second book, Menopause Wisdoms – Women's Stories of Becoming Crone, within the container of the Unbound Writing Mastermind and Unbound Press community.

I am beautifully held in the cauldron of love Nicola has created as I continue to explore the voice I wish to share in the world, now writing my third book. She, the Unbound team and all the Unbound sisters in the community are truly magical beings. I have no doubt that we are collectively weaving potent medicine for the highest good, as each of our books raises the vibration of love in the world.

Being a part of the Unbound community is a magical piece in my creative and spiritual journey, which I am deeply grateful for. I am excited to discover what lays ahead – for us all.

With so much love,

Angie Brierheart

Mariella Pearson - Author of Libidos and Life Lessons: A Memoir

Learning I’m OK on my own. It has been a bumpy journey! When I broke up with my long-term boyfriend I didn’t know how to be alone, I’d gone from relationship to relationship my entire life and had never felt I was worth anything without a man there to validate me. It definitely hasn’t been easy, and there have been a few mishaps along the way, but I now know I don’t need a man to validate me.

Being part of the Unbound Press community has been a rollercoaster. It’s so lovely to be surrounded by such strong beautiful people and to be held by people you have never met in real life. It has made me so grateful for online communities. It’s been a privilege to be part of the Unbound Press community with so many inspiring people.

My hope would be that I continue to grow and become more OK with myself. It’s an ongoing battle at times, but I hope with hard work and determination I become someone my younger self would be proud of.

Susan Cadley - Author of the upcoming My Heart Has a Tail; Navigating the Loss of a Beloved Pet

I recently began scaling back the hours in my private practice as a psychotherapist. My intuition has been calling for me to create more spaciousness in my life for creativity, recharging of my inner energy levels and explore new ways to offer my healing services. I've been a psychotherapist for 23 years and making this shift has been a huge transformation in the letting go of this work identity. I know that by stepping back from my work a new path and parts of me will emerge. Change can be scary and exciting at the same time!

Being part of the Unbound Mastermind group has helped me to remain engaged in my own writing process. Being able to share our creative process, challenges, and successes keeps me inspired and I don't feel alone in what I'm experiencing in finding my way with my own writing.

Nicola creates a safe container for sharing and is encouraging with her depth of wisdom. The Unbound way writing process feels liberating and expansive.

My hope for the next 5 years includes completing my first book with The Unbound Press called My Heart Has a Tail; Navigating the Loss of a Beloved Pet and writing two more books that I have "waiting in the wings". I also want to offer coaching services to blocked creatives and entrepreneurs using the Internal Family Systems model.

My next 5 years also include lots of travel to the places on my adventure list. I'm planning on spending one month (or longer) in one place in the UK or Europe as I love exploring, meandering and learning about the history of people and places.
