We are over the moon to announce that Abi Shaw has signed a deal with The Unbound Press to publish her first book, No Matter Where.
Of her journey so far, Abi shares:
“I am a lover of life and adventure, who has lived and worked in Monaco, the South of France and Bali over the last 20 years. A jack of all trades, I’ve turned my hand to all sorts from sales in the Super Yacht Industry to importing tea, from million-pound property renovation to hosting retreats, and being a mum is by far my greatest achievement.
A decade ago my life changed when I got cancer and my husband left me. I was utterly heartbroken, but I have an unfaltering faith in mankind and our beautiful universe, so with the help of many magical folk and rituals, I rebuilt my life and discovered my higher purpose…revealed in my book!
I started writing my story in Bali as a cathartic practice but now I am ready to share it with you. I find the silver lining in every cloud and truly believe that what you sow is what you reap. An eternal romantic, when it comes to love there’s just no stopping me!
Until you spread your wings, you have no idea how far you can fly.”
Of the inspiration and purpose behind No Matter Where, Abi says:
“It's simply a tale about me, cancer, a beloved husband who became an even more beloved ex-husband, two children, many lovers and a humongous adventure. It's a fairground ride of highs and lows, stomach-wrenching moments of excruciating heartbreak and goosebump-inducing moments of joyous love, passion, travel and thrills.
My story is for anyone who has had their heart broken; anyone who needs a moment of laughter and a glimmer of hope. It is lighthearted and glamorous but honest. Take it to the loo with you or hop on a sun lounger with it and smile.”
