Kristen Ellery signs publishing deal with The Unbound Press

The Unbound Press is over the moon to announce that Kristen Ellery has signed with us to publish her forthcoming book, HAPPILESS.

About HAPPILESS:

Kristen Ellery has always felt she was the proverbial square peg in a round hole, but never really knew why she felt like that. In her 50s things started to feel clearer for the first time in her life. Always searching for the big answers, the deeper connections, and after decades of self-analysis she realised that she’d spent nearly all of those years feeling unhappy. It was a thunderbolt sensation that fully opened her eyes to decades of ambiguity. Now came the shift. Why, and more importantly, what, were her next steps? This book is an exploration of that journey; of self-discovery and a more intense understanding of the barriers to and the ways to gain happiness. It is a book for anyone who has ever felt something isn’t quite right, and has wondered, “Is this really it?” 

About Kristen:

After graduating from Cambridge University with a B.Ed in Education and English Literature, Kristen began a busy life of marriage, teaching, and bringing up her family. But something constantly gnawed away at her in the background – a feeling of “Is this really it?” 

Brought up to feel grateful for what she had, it didn’t sit right with her to feel this discontent. And so it continued, year after year, decade after decade, until finally in her 50s, the eureka moment erupted through the words of a simple song. HAPPILESS is that journey. Taken from her own experiences and interwoven with research, Kristen explores a life learning to ACCEPT LESS, WHILST GAINING MORE.
