Julie Budge signs publishing deal with The Unbound Press for My Sisters’ House - Women at the Centre

We are delighted to announce that The Unbound Press has donated a publishing package to Julie Budge of My Sisters’ House Women’s Centre for her book telling the inspiring story of how she started the centre.

Julie’s personal experience of living within a troubled household as a child inadvertently led her to a career in the Charity Sector working with victims of crime. After a career helping others she followed her passion when in 2014 she left a highly paid job to set up a women's centre in a deprived area in West Sussex in the UK.

My Sisters’ House - Women at the Centre tells of the magical journey Julie has taken, from the first few meetings round her own kitchen table to five years later, celebrating the opening of the Centre with Dame Julie Walters DBE, a multi-BAFTA winning actress, who then became their Patron. Having raised £1.3m to employ seventeen staff and help thousands of women, this is a story of strength, determination and passion.

The Unbound Press are proud to be part of releasing My Sisters’ House into the world. When we first connected with Julie, we knew that the work she’s doing in the world is incredibly aligned with our own vision - supporting women through sisterhood.

In this wonderful book, Julie tells not only her story, but the stories of other women who have been part of and accessed the centre. Prepare to be amazed, inspired and moved! My Sisters’ House - Women at the Centre will be released in December this year.
